「四季爛漫」の冒頭「春宵」に流れるこの曲は、「驚くべき慈悲（和田意訳）」という美しい賛美歌で、山崎豊子原作
「白い巨塔」のテレビドラマの主題曲として使われた。主人公が大勢のユダヤ人が虐殺されたアウシュビッツ収容所を訪れたときにこの曲が流れ、そこで初めて家内にこの曲が賛美歌だと教わり、深い感動を覚えた。 |

Amazing
Grace
は、それが流れるだけで、何か特別な意味が付与されるような
BGM
だと思います。単なる、心地良い綺麗なメロディであるということを超えます。深い精神性や、魂そのものに訴えかけるテーマであることを語っているように思います。この曲とともに画面に浮かび上がるご老人の姿と横顔が、何やら神々しくさえあると思いました。 |
